To Flute, or not to Flute
To Flute, or not to Flute intends to aid a young music student that is searching to learn the basics of the flute. This will introduce the full range of their instrument and give some exercises to learn these fingerings in a practical way. As you move through this site there will be video and photo demonstrations of some of the point that I believe will provide benefit and more. Please refer to the menu on the left to move through this site. To enlarge the images please click on them.
Below you will notice a 1. hand diagram, 2. flute diagram and 3. a finger chart. Please use these diagrams as a reference as you move forward to place your fingers on the flute.

1. This hand diagram shows labels your finger and thumbs on each hand. the number will correspond with the finger pressing specific tone holes.

2. This diagram will help you guide you as to which tone hole should be pressed. Notice that it give both top and bottom views of the flute.
