Parts of a Flute
As you open your case we would like to introduce the parts that make the flute. You will notice three separate parts. The Foot Joint, The Middle Joint and the Head Joint. The Middle Joint is the largest piece of the flute. The tone holes are the keys that you will pressing when you begin learning fingerings. The shape of your lips is called an "embouchure". The Head Joint is where learn to place your embouchure.
