Buzzing  Exercises 

Drop Pitch

 

Start with a higher buzz note and using good air and keeps your lips together.  As you buzz, relax the corners and allow the pitch to drop as low as you can sustain.

 

 

 

Below are are three exercises for develop a good buzz in your moutpiece. Make sure to wet your lips first.  Relax your lips, but keep them together and use plenty of air.  Over time you will develop good buzz control.

Siren Buzz 

 

Start with a lower buzz note and using good air and keeps your lips together.  As you buzz, start with relaxed corners and allow the pitch to rise as high as you can. Breath as you need but then keep going up and down.

Long Buzz

Buzz on the mouthpiece for as long as you can with stable air, good tone, and proper embouchure. You can use a metronome to track your time. Then each time after this make your goal to exceed your own best time each time.
