Breathing Exercises 

Deeper Inhale

This exercise is built on the Breathing Gym exercises from Pat Sheridan and Sam Pilfian

 

  1. Set a metronome to 184 beats per minute.

  2. Create a "O" shape with your mouth   

  3. Exhales deeply

  4. Before you breath in again take one hand and place the side of your pointing finger to your mouth. Your 2nd knuckle should be right where the opening of your breath intake will occur.

  5. With your hand still at your mouth, breath in four beats then move your hand away and immediately breath  out for 8 beats

  6. Repeat this for 4-6 times

  7. Remember you are developing your air intake with this exercise. Feel free to change the beat if this is not a challenging speed

Below are are three exercises for develop a good use of your air.  Breathing without tension is the key. Strive to develop control of a good exhale and good inhale. 

Hiss and Hop 4 out, 4 inn and hop

 

This exercises is too aid with set up your inhale to prepare to your exhale right one the beat

 

 

 

  1. Set a metronome to 184 beats per minute.

  2. Stand with both feet flat on the ground, about shoulder width apart.

  3. The goal is to land on beat one and hiss out for four. 

  4. Breath in for 4 then hop again to land on beat one and his for four

  5. Repeat several times

 

Breath Bow and Airrow 8 in / 8 out

This exercise is built on the Breathing Gym exercises from Pat Sheridan and Sam Pilfian

 

  1. Set a metronome to 184 beats per minute.

  2. Put your self in position of an archer with a bow and arrow

  3. Inhale for 8 beats and pull back your bow

  4. HIss out all of your air for next 8 beats, imagine your finger pint out to the direction of your arrow.

  5. Repeat this for 4-6 times
