Lip Slur  Exercise

A lip slur is a when you change between lower and higher pitches without tonguing. This kind of exercise will help you gain more lip flexibility.

Effective lip slurs are done by:

  • changing the airspeed.

  • firming or loosening the lip muscles, especially the corners of the lips.

Remember that when doing these avoid using your tongue when moving from one note to another.
